President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has assured that
the increasingly lucrative National Oil Company (NOCAL) will run along the lines of strict transparency.
The President has instructed NOCAL to make available all relevant documents in its financial operations, presidential press secretary, Mr. Jerolinmek Piah told journalists at a regular briefing here Tuesday.
Mr. Piah said the President is very concerned about developments at NOCAL and nothing should be secret at NOCAL or in the oil business.
Sources have told this paper that past and present oil executives were paid astronomical sums for their services, prompting the removal of some allegedly linked to the huge payoffs at NOCAL.
