A former director-general of the Bureau of Culture, Ambassador Jallah K.K. Kamara, has died at JFK memorial hospital following a brief illness , according to family sources. Mr. Kamara served in several capacities including Assistant Minister of Culture and Director of Culture at the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism. The late Kamara was member of the National Steering Committee of Vsioning 2030 up to his death. As a folklorist and writer, Mr. Kamara prolfically contributed to the New Democrat’s Literature column with his articles under ‘Wisdom of the Elders’.
