After pardoning and accepting apologies from two market women who allegedly insulted her last week, Acting Monrovia Mary Broh, is demanding an apology from senators whom she accused of deciding in a complaint against her by a senate staff without considering the “merit of the case.”
“The senate actually owes me an apology. I want the senators of this country to know that the way in which they treated me… they didn’t look into the merit of the case,” Ms. Broh said Monday at the Monrovia City Hall as she received an women apology from two market women.
‘’This (the apology offered by these women) vindicates me,” she noted.
Ms. Broh’s comments follow an official apology she offered the senate, expressing regrets on allegations that she slapped one of their staff members, Nancy Gaye during her usual clean ‘Monrovia campaign.’
But she noted that the apology offered her by the two women following their action against her “clearly vindicates” her from their claims (senate) that she is a ‘bad woman.’
“They should therefore apologize to me. This action has clearly vindicated me today. I want for Liberians here and abroad to note that this particular action vindicates me,” she stressed.
