Tubman Defiant

Embattled leader of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change political party(CDC), Cllr. Winston A. Tubman, has issued a defiant response to news that he(Tubman) has been expelled from the CDC and his membership revoked as well.
Cllr. Tubman’s expulsion news was contained  in a CDC press release issued on Thursday, March 1,2012 by its Secretary General, Moses Acarous Gray. In the release, the party accused its under-presure  leader of leading fictional activity within the CDC, as well as engaging in acts described as unlawful.
In furtherance of the CDC argument against its standard bearer, Mr. Gray, now Representative of Montserrado County District #8, also informed his radio audience on a local talk show that the party’s National Executive Committee latest action is in consonance  with a previous agreement signed between Cllr. Tubman and the CDC-NEC that he(Tubman) would only head the party as standard bearer for a one term period whether the party wins the 2011 presidential election or not. Based on this agreement, Representative Gray  said the party took its newest stance in order to move the CDC forward.
Additionally, Gray said, the CDC has also instructed its former torch bearer and soccer legend turned politician, George M. Weah, to takeover as its new political leader while the party goes through a four month period of restructuring.
But despite the CDC’s latest allegations against its feuded leader, unconfirmed reports gathered by this paper indicate that  the CDC  decision against its standard bearer was predicated upon Cllr. Tubman’s involvement in a serious financial saga. An insider of the CDC who preferred not be named in this report, told the New Democrat Cllr. Tubman recently visited  one of the Sub-regional countries and allegedly received US$500,00 in the name of CDC and pocketed the money, something our informer said annoyed the entire party executives.
Notwithstanding, Cllr. Winston Tubman, responding to the latest news about his expulsion and  subsequent  allegations levied against him, has angrily reacted, saying, “Those who are saying that i am expelled from the CDC are doing it on their own, and as far as i am concerned, i remain the standard bearer of the CDC until 2017.”
“I have nothing to say to them”, the enraged CDC standard bearer, Cllr. Winston A. Tubman, said to the New Democrat over the weekend by via mobile phone.”
Cllr. Tubman’s vow that he is still in charge of the CDC remains a matter of argument within the public’s domain, especially judging from his recent political history with the opposition Liberia National Union(LINU) and the National Democratic Party of Liberia(NDPL) political parties.
The veteran Liberian diplomat, has, in the recent past, received two expulsions from the two political institutions named, and the later from the CDC only makes matter worse for him by making the number three. In all previous expulsions, Cllr. Tubman has always contended those decisions take against him, but that such protests have always fallen on deaf ears and have eventually saw him passing through  the exit doors of those parties.
Whether or not he is determined to see himself prevailing in the current CDC-Political internal wrangling that seems to be rocking the party remains at the hand of time, and that anyone conjecturing that the latest CDC action may see him(Tubman) out of the party may be in the right frame of mind, and that his(Cllr. Tubman) stay at the CDC, political commentators say,  will obviously depend on how his (Winston Tubman’s) great political maneuverability and trickery will prove themselves in a party whose members don’t see him as their type.
