Buchanan Crime Den Stormed
The police special team recently formed to raid criminal hideouts in the country has hit Buchanan arresting 37 suspects in several communities of the seaport city.
According to police sources, those arrested include alleged drug dealers and users as well as armed robbery suspects that went loose after breaking jail in Buchanan.
Our sources said the special police taskforce extended its operations over the weekend to Buchanan, where 37 suspects including six females, were picked up at various locations in keeping with a search and seizure warrant obtained from the Buchanan Magisterial Court.
Some of the narcotic substances confiscated from the suspects include two barrels of marijuana, 34 wraps of cocaine, 24 Thailand white, half jar of cane juice mixed with marijuana, and syringes amongst several other injectable materials.
The sources said the 37 suspects including others rearrested for armed robbery have been forwarded at the Buchanan City Magisterial Court for trial.
