Ellen Is Upset

Reliance on rumor-mongering by the public to castigate the First Family and the government gravely disappoints President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who says these reckless criticisms were detriment to the state.

“I am not saying we are a perfect family; I am not saying we do not make mistakes; we are humans, but by and large, we do not deserve this rumor-filled allegations because they are false and they are hurting,” the President told the FrontPage newspaper recently.

The statement comes in apparent reaction to accusations by some Unity Party members that the president was employing her family members to senior government positions.

“I am really hurt because if you look at my family record, I just ask people, you know the silent majority knows better and the silent minority do appreciates some of the things we do,” she noted.

She chided the media for publishing fabricated stories that are hurting the country and driving away investors.
