The Executive

As drug trafficking and use have become chronic in the country, officers of the Drug Enforcement Agency have confirmed they arrested a Nigerian national, Camelues O. Allen, 46, alias ‘god father’ Wednesday with drugs valued about L$56,800.

The suspect is believed to be a pastor at the Solution Temple Church in Paynesville.

He was charged with Illegal possession and sale of narcotic drugs and remanded at the Monrovia central prison pending court trial.

According to the DEA charge sheet, SDS officers headed by agent Eugene David arrested the Nigerian suspect Wednesday at about 12:45 pm with one tube of cocaine weighing 10.5 grams valued over L$56,800 in his possession.

A preliminary investigation established the Nigerian suspect as a potential drug dealer in the country.

The suspect argued that what the officers found in his car was mini salt for his health and not narcotic drugs as claimed by the DEA officers.

Nevertheless, the suspect was charged with Illegal possession and sale of narcotic drugs in violation of Section 41.23 of public health law of Liberian.

Earlier this year, Camelues O. Allen was remanded at the central prison after he flogged a local journalist and damaged his camera in a move to prevent the reporter from getting a shot of ‘Bishop’ Onyeneke of Solution Temple while in court at the Temple Justice.
