Police collected two unexploded petrol bombs Tuesday morning from the compound of Finance Minister Amara Konneh following a tipoff from the minister, police spokesman, Col. George Bardue has confirmed.

He said a forensic team from the Liberian National Police force discovered and collected the bombs but reported no damage or injuries.

Bardue said Mr. Konneh had filed a complaint early Tuesday alleging that unknown persons had thrown petrol bombs into his compound.

“When the police got in (Konneh’s compound) they saw two petrol bombs. But no arrest has been made. They are still investigating the case and will inform the public about their findings following competition of their investigation,” Bardue added.
