Barely 24 hours after expiration of the Assets Declaration deadline, the names of more government officials who defaulted in declaring their assets have emerged after President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf threatened to seize salary checks of those who are delinquent in declaring their assets and liabilities.

According to official sources, no officials from the Public Procurement Concession Commission (PPCC) and the Liberia Telecommunications Corporations, as well as City Mayors declared their assets.

Only the president of the National Oil Company Dr. Randolph McClain declared his assets at NOCAL while the Director of National Commission on Higher Education, Dr. Michael Slawon is the only person on the commission that declared his assets.

At the National Bureau of Concessions, only Director General Mr. Tarnue Mawolo made his assets and liabilities known and the Director General of Liberia Statistics Geo-Information Services, Dr. Edward Liberty is the sole official at LISGIS who declared his assets.

Mr. Patrick Honnah, deputy director is the only official at the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) that declared his assets, while Director General Anthony K. Souh of the National Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and his deputy Asatu Bah Kenneth declared their assets.

President Sirleaf threatened to take several measures, including withholding of salary checks for officials that failed to declare their assets as directed.
