Criminals Attack PUL President

Armed gangs attacked the President of the Press Union of Liberia, Mr. Peter Quaqua Tuesday night, took away his cell phone and left him with bodily pains.

Mr. Quaqua explained that while en route home from the United States Embassy where he attended an election night party, a group of unidentified assailants confronted him on Crown Hill opposite the YMCA on Broad Street with machetes, blinded him with pointed torchlight in his face and demanded him to surrender his possessions to them.

Thanks to Divine intervention, Mr. Quaqua said he managed to escape the wrath of the assailants, whom he sensed, were determined to seriously harm.

“I thank God that nothing happened badly to me besides my phone that they took from me; which, of course, has caused me a great harm.

“I lost all my contacts and other valuable items that were installed in the phone to ease my work as a journalist,” Mr. Quaqua lamented.
