In observance of the International Street Vendors’ Day, the Central Bank of Liberia Governor, Dr. Mills Jones challenged members of National Petty Traders Union of Liberia to think big as they strive to improve their business ventures.
He told the vendors that they can become shop owners as they continue to think about the prospect of their endeavours.
“You can become shop owners or store owners only when you think big. My massage to you today is a message of hope and I believe it is the responsibility of all of us to work together in lifting Liberia’s boat,” he said.
The CBL governor made the statement Wednesday at the Union headquarters in Sinkor where he served as keynote speaker on the role of vendors in the informal economy.
