Liberia and Fiji have formalized diplomatic relations at a ceremony at the Liberian Mission to the UN in New York after Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amb. Marjon Kamara and her Fijian counterpart, Amb. Peter Thomson, signed a joint communiqué establishing on behalf of both nations.
The communiqué expresses the desire of the republics of Fiji and Liberia to promote mutual understanding and strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation amongst their two peoples.
Amb. Kamara expressed Liberia’s appreciation to Fiji for providing police personnel serving in the United Nations Mission in Liberia.
