
Three Nigerians—Ikelechuwu Ochi, Obinna Samuel and Thaddeus Nwahu—charged with unlawful possession and sale of narcotic drugs by the Drug Enforcement Agent (DEA), were Tuesday remanded at the Monrovia central prison pending court trial.
The DEA charge sheet says, at the moment of their arrest, the suspects possessed 5 tubes of cocaine weighing 66.59 grams with an estimateed value of L$210,000.
It was established during a preliminary investigation that the Nigerian suspects are potential drug dealers here in violation of Section 41.23 of the public health law of Liberia.
In another development, the DEA reported booking Jusu Rose Saturday with 5 wraps of tube white weighing 8.29 grams having a street value of L$3,150 before being remanded at the Monrovia central prison pending court trial.
DEA officials said the action of suspect Rose who is a drug dealer, violated Section 41.23 of the public health law of Liberia.
